Can you believe Halloween is just around the corner?
No one knows for sure what a COVID-19 Halloween is going to be like, but guys, let’s not let a worldwide pandemic ruin our Halloween spirit!
COVID-19 or not, there’s just no way I’m going to give up the Halloween tradition of putting together our family costumes (and neither should you!).
Halloween Family Costume
Even though I’m not sure how we will be celebrating Halloween this year, I know it’s not going to be with traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating or even with a big Halloween costume party.
But my most unforgettable memories of Halloween from my childhood are not of trick-or-treating or even eating candy (well, to be honest, candy was also an important part, lol); it was dressing up with my family, spending time with them, and making each other laugh until our stomachs hurt (awww…very sentimental LOL, but it’s true!).
So whether you’re a family of two, three, or twelve (well, good luck with that!), coordinating costumes is super fun and the perfect way to make this Halloween as normal as it can be in these not-so-normal times.
Can’t Choose a Costume? Need Some Inspiration?
We looked around (you know, around the internet) to gather some of the best ideas for Halloween family costumes! Some of them are super easy and quick to make (or to simply buy), and some DIYs are a bit more complex, but all of them will have the WOW effect, and most importantly, the fun effect!
So, even if you just plan to hang out at home (well, most likely, right?) and watch scary movies (or, alternatively you can throw a memorable Halloween indoor party, trying these free and quick Halloween party activities ideas or these Halloween Free Decorations ideas), I urge you to keep up the holiday spirit, dress up, take lots and lots of selfies, enjoy this time with your family (here’s another aww for y’all), and make each other laugh! They say laughter and joy is the best kind of cure, and looking at 2020, we definitely need it.

1. Traveling Circus
